Are you accepting new patients?
Yes! CEHC is currently accepting new patients. Please note that new patient appointments are booked out several months in advance. If you have an acute problem that needs to be addressed sooner, please utilize our CHEER walk-in hours - Monday-Thursday from 1-4pm.
If you are experiencing a medical emergency, call 911 and go to the emergency room.
My child needs to see a doctor. Can I bring them to the clinic?
No, CEHC does not see children or teens. Hasbro Children's Hospital, St. Joseph Health Center, and certain Providence Community Health Center locations have primary care services for children.
Will I get a bill after my visit at the clinic?
No, CEHC will never bill you for services rendered at the clinic.
Does the clinic offer dental services?
Unfortunately, we do not. Please visit our Community Resources page for more information about dental and other services offered outside of CEHC.
What if I can't afford my prescription?
Our staff and providers will work with you to find the pharmacy with the best price and coupons for your specific needs.
What is FreeCare?
FreeCare is charity care provided by the major hospital networks in Rhode Island. If you cannot afford things like labs or imaging, you are encouraged to apply after your appointment. Our Navegantes can assist you with the application process, if you are eligible.
Note: FreeCare needs to be renewed every year and eligibility requirements are subject to change at the discretion of the hospital systems.
